KDD (Kuwait Danish Dairy)

KDD (Kuwait Danish Dairy) has been around since 1962 in Kuwait. It started from its Shuwaikh plant and now most of its operations are carried out from Subhan plant. It has over 160 types of products ranging from dairy, juice, ice-cream, culinary and even virgin olive oil. KDD website is really informative and can be accessed in both Arabic and English languages. Details on the all range of products can be viewed on the website.

KDD has two outlets in Kuwait - one in Shuwaikh next to factory on street 17 (Click Here to see in Google maps) and one Outlet in Maidan Hawally (Click here to see in Google maps) (I also heard that one outlet is available at Camp Arifjan). The price at the outlets are less when compared to the supermarkets and grocery stores. The quality of products KDD produces are still amazing. At the Shuwaikh outlet, one can purchase a cone ice-cream of flavours - Vanilla, Chocolate or mixed for a price of KD 1/4 (250 fils = 90 U.S cents). I have attached a pic of the cone ice-cream which has a 2 - 1/2 inch ice-cream on the top. People should definitely give it a try. The timings for the Shuwaikh outlet is from 8:30 am to 9:30 pm throughout the week.

KDD is also on Facebook and on Twitter.

Gulf Run Car Show

I was at the Gulf Run Car Show event today at 360 Mall. It was really impressive to see so many amazing cars at one place. Ferrari, Lotus, Mercedes, Porsche, Audi, BMW etc. HERE is the list of the cars.(Thanks to Mark for the list). The weather in the morning was cloudy and some drizzling was seen throughout the day. Al-Falah Car Wash crew had a nice time keeping the cars looking gorgeous. But I do praise them for their hard work throughout the day.

It was nice to see that KDD had a stall to promote their new Chocolate Milk pack. I enjoyed the famed Ice-creams cones of KDD (Vanilla, Chocolate and Mixed) - Cost KD 0.250. DJ B at the evening. One of the best sight one could see was the clicking away of cameras, be it  a standalone Digital cameras, or the Smart phone ones or even the conventional kind.

Also saw Ducati bike and a stall for Kawasaki with the Vulcan model on display. Also saw the BRP Can-Am Spyder Roadster. Had a nice feel to it.

Two days that also a weekend (Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th of January) is a nice experience for anyone to see some fancy cars. I really do like the idea of Gulf Run event. I do wish all the drivers to have a great time at Bahrain International Circuit on 26th and 27th Jan. Wishing you all the best for the Gulf Run 7.
